Polus Tech: Disaster Relief for Cellular Communications
Cellular networks are still not available in a number of regions destroyed by the flood. The Israeli-Swiss start-up Polus Tech is now supplying emergency cellular networks; small systems weighing just 9 kilograms with local radio cells - for the most necessary communication and for locating people who are still missing. They can go into operation on Tuesday.
